Solana on Moon.com: what a SOL bet does at 10x, 100x and 1000x

Solana was one of the five markets live on Moon.com when we checked. Sign up through our referral link, switch to play money, and you can watch SOL move at any leverage before you deposit. This page works through what a Solana bet on Moon pays and costs at each leverage tier, where the liquidation line sits in dollars at a round SOL price, and how the fees land on a position held past eight hours.

Solana on Moon.com: the bet in one paragraph

A Solana bet on Moon is a call on direction. You open the SOL market, pick Up or Down, set a stake and a leverage multiplier anywhere from 1x to 1000x, and your profit or loss is the percentage move in Solana’s price, multiplied by your leverage, applied to your stake. There is no coin to hold and nothing to withdraw to a wallet at the end; the bet settles in your Moon balance. Moon advertises the market as open 24/7, which for Solana matches the underlying asset, since SOL trades around the clock.

Sign up through our referral link, flip the account into play money, and open SOL. Five minutes watching the price tick against a 100x position teaches more than any table below.

Sign up and watch SOL with play money
  • 1x to 1000x Leverage range
  • 0.1% Liquidation distance at 1000x
  • 1% Opening fee
  • 1% Liquidation distance at 100x

What a Solana move pays at each leverage tier

The arithmetic is the same on every Moon market, so the only variable that is Solana-specific is how far SOL actually moves. Take a $100 stake and a 1% move in Solana’s price. Figures are gross, before the fees covered further down.

LeverageExposure1% move in your favour1% move against youLiquidation distance
1x$100+$1-$1100%
10x$1,000+$10-$1010%
50x$5,000+$50-$502%
100x$10,000+$100liquidated, -$1001%
500x$50,000+$500liquidated, -$1000.2%
1000x$100,000+$1,000liquidated, -$1000.1%

Read the last column first. At 1000x a Solana move of 0.1% against your entry ends the bet. At a SOL price of $150, used here only as a round number, that is a 15-cent move, the kind that happens inside a minute on an ordinary day. At 100x the line is 1%, or $1.50. At 10x it is 10%, or $15, a move that takes days or weeks rather than minutes. The cents look trivial next to Bitcoin’s dollars; the percentages, which are what decide the bet, are identical. The leverage guide has the full tier table and an interactive calculator; the liquidation guide explains how Moon closes the position when the line is hit.

Watching Solana settle on Moon

Our live pages record every large win and liquidation on Moon’s public feed, SOL included. The biggest wins board shows the largest Solana returns with the leverage, the stake and the size of the move that produced them, and the liquidations page shows the SOL positions that hit the line instead. Reading the two side by side for a day is the quickest way to see what 100x and above does to a Solana bet: the winners and the liquidations are usually separated by a move of well under 1%.

Fees on a Solana bet

Moon charges the same four things on SOL as on every market. From its help centre and terms:

  • Opening fee: 1% of the stake. $1.00 on a $100 bet, at any leverage. Leverage changes your exposure, not this fee.
  • Holding fee: every 8 hours the bet stays open, at a dynamic rate Moon does not publish as a number. Because SOL trades 24/7, an overnight Solana bet keeps accruing this while you sleep; the shorter the bet, the fewer of them it pays.
  • Performance fee: at least 10% of realized profit. Charged on winners only. On a $100 gross win it is $10.
  • Spread: Moon’s terms reserve a pricing edge in its favour. It is inside the price you bet at rather than a separate line, so the liquidation distances in the table above are the before-spread figures.

So the 100x row above, a $100 win on a 1% move, is about $89 in hand: $100 gross, less the $1 opening fee, less a $10 performance fee, with holding fees on top if the bet ran past eight hours. The fees guide works three full examples, and if you registered with our code, 3.5% of every one of those fees comes back as rakeback.

Sizing a Solana bet on Moon

Three rules that follow from the table rather than from opinion.

Choose leverage from the move you expect, not from the payout. If you think SOL will move 2% today, 50x puts the liquidation line at 2% and 100x puts it at 1%, which is inside the normal noise of that same day. Lower leverage survives the noise.

Treat 500x and 1000x as minute-scale bets. At those tiers the liquidation line is 0.1% to 0.2% away, so the position either resolves fast or is closed by Moon fast. They are not positions to hold overnight, and the holding fee agrees.

Practise on play money first. Moon’s simulated balance refills to $100,000 without limit and uses the same SOL market and leverage ladder. Run twenty 100x bets there and count how many hit the line before they hit the target; the play money guide has a practice plan.

1000x on Solana is a 0.1% bet

At 1000x, Solana moving 0.1% against you ends the bet and the stake is gone, before spread and fees. Most trades at that tier on Moon lose. Only stake what you can afford to lose, and use play money until the speed of it is familiar.

Other Moon markets

Bitcoin and Ethereum take the same bet with the same fee stack; the Bitcoin page and Ethereum page cover them, and the markets guide lists everything that was live when we checked, including Apple and Tesla. Availability depends on where you are; the FAQ has the current list.

Frequently asked

Can you bet on Solana on Moon.com?

Yes. Solana (SOL) is one of more than 30 markets we have seen bets on; see /markets/ for the full list. You pick Up or Down, a stake and a leverage from 1x to 1000x.

What does a 1% Solana move pay at 100x on Moon?

On a $100 stake at 100x, exposure is $10,000, so a 1% move in your direction is a $100 gross win, about $89 after the 1% opening fee and a 10% performance fee. A 1% move the other way liquidates the bet and the $100 stake is gone.

Is Solana open 24/7 on Moon.com?

Solana trades around the clock on the open market, and Moon advertises real-money betting 24/7, so a SOL bet can be opened or closed at any hour. Holding fees still accrue every 8 hours a bet stays open.

Where is the liquidation price on a Solana bet at 1000x?

0.1% from your entry, before spread and fees. At a SOL price of $150 that is 15 cents. At 100x it is 1% ($1.50), at 10x it is 10% ($15). The distance is 100 divided by the leverage, as a percentage of the entry price.

Is Solana more volatile than Bitcoin on Moon.com?

Moon does not change the maths per asset; the liquidation line is 100 divided by the leverage on every market. What differs is how far each asset actually moves in a day, and you can see that for yourself by watching both in play-money mode. Our live pages record the biggest SOL wins and liquidations as they happen.

Can I practise Solana bets on Moon for free?

Yes. Moon's play-money mode gives a simulated $100,000 balance that refills without limit, with the same Up/Down bets and leverage as real money. It is the sensible way to see how fast SOL moves at 100x before staking anything.
