These are the largest liquidations our feed saw close each day, since 31 August 2026 from our feed of Moon's public trades; Moon's own boards list wins only. Most bets on Moon are under $200, and at 1000x a 0.1% move ends the bet. Liquidations are shown as numbers with a reason, never as commentary; see responsible gambling.
Every position in this table was one move of about 100% divided by its leverage from its end, and at 1000x a 0.1% move against you ends the bet, before spread and fees. Read the liquidation guide before you pick a tier.

Frequently asked
What is a liquidation on Moon.com?
Moon closing a bet because the loss reached the stake. The stake is gone and nothing more is owed. At 1000x that is a move of about 0.1% against the position, before spread and fees; at 100x about 1%; at 10x about 10%.
How many bets on Moon get liquidated?
In the days we have recapped, about 33% of observed trades ended in liquidation (131,166 of 403,812). The share moves with how many bets are placed at 1000x.
What is the biggest liquidation on Moon?
The largest we have recorded is a $226,938 ETH short at 50x, closed by Moon on 18 September 2026, since 31 August 2026 from our feed of Moon's public trades. Moon's boards list wins only, so a liquidation is on record only when our feed saw it close; players who hide their bets are not in the feed, so larger ones may exist.
Can I lose more than my stake?
No. A liquidation closes the bet at the stake. Fees are separate: Moon charges a 1% opening fee on the stake and a holding fee every 8 hours a bet stays open, whether it wins, loses or is liquidated.
Definitions
- Liquidation
- Moon closing a bet because the loss reached the stake. At 1000x that is a move of about 0.1% against the position, before spread and fees.
- Distance to liquidation
- How far price has to move against an open position before Moon closes it: 100% divided by the leverage, plus or minus the move so far. At 1000x a fresh position is 0.1% away.
- Leverage
- The multiplier applied to the stake; $100 at 100x behaves like a $10,000 position. Moon offers up to 1000x.
- Stake
- The amount of money a trader puts on a single bet, before fees.
- Notional (exposure)
- Stake multiplied by leverage.
- Long, short
- A long is Moon's Up bet (profits if price rises); a short is a Down bet. We use long and short because that is how Moon's data labels them.
- PnL
- Profit and loss on a closed trade in US dollars, as Moon reports it, after Moon's fees.
- A trader who hides their name on Moon. Their trades count toward totals and never toward any trader page.
- Observed
- Seen by our feed. Moon's feed returns the last 10 public trades per request; we see most trades, not all, and we say how many we missed on each recap.
- As of
- The time, in UTC, when the figures on the page were last read from Moon's public feed and boards. Live pages refresh every 30 seconds while you watch; trader pages and recaps are rebuilt daily just after midnight UTC.
